Foot-over bridge collapses at Allahabad Railway station, many feared dead

Many people are feared dead and more that 30 are injured in a stampede at the Allahabad Railway station, which broke out after a foot-over bridge collapsed on Sunday evening.

According to the media reports, there was massive rush at the station as nearly three crore people have arrived in the city to take a holy dip on the auspicious occasion of 'Mauni Amavasya' at the Kumbh Mela, and the police baton charged to manage the crowd, which led the stampede.

Some TV reports suggest that more than 20 people have been killed and 30 others are injured in the incident.

Earlier in the day, two people were killed in another incident of stampede at Sector-12 in Kumbh Meal area. (ANI)
