New Delhi: Anti-corruption crusader-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal will formally launch his new party from Jantar Mantar here on Monday.
"Today is a big day. History in the making. Aam Aadmi comes together to directly jump in politics to throw out this corrupt political system," Kejriwal said on micro-blogging site Twitter on Monday.
He has said all those who turn up at Jantar Mantar would be treated as founding members of the party.
The name of the party, Aam Aadmi Party, was announced on Saturday.
On Sunday, Kejriwal was elected as the national convener of the party. He said that he would spend the next one year touring India to garner support for his outfit.
He said he would spend a year trying to convince people on why they should support his party and also "expose" the two leading parties, the ruling Congress and the main Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
