The Delhi Police is likely to grill Bollywood starlet Nupur Mehta in connection to the suicide case of former air hostess Geetika Sharma.

Nupur worked as the vice-president in the now defunct MDLR Airlines.

Pertinently, MDLR airline was floated by former Haryana minister Gopal Goyal Kanda, who is the prime accused in the suicide case.

Kanda on Wednesday is likely to undergo a medical test at the Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital, reports said.

The Delhi Police have registered fresh charges against Kanda Section 66-A of Information Technology Act.

The fresh charges were slapped against the former minister for allegedly sending false electronic messages that lead to the harassment of Geetika.

"We have invoked this section as the accused through electronic message, forged details and send it," Special Commissioner Dharmendra Kumar told reporters.

Pertinently, the police had already charged Kanda with Criminal Intimidation (506), Abetment to Suicide (306) and Criminal Conspiracy (120-B).

According to reports, the police are also investigating the role of a MDLR employee Shivroop in sending forged emails to Emirates Airlines.

Geetika, who left Kanda´s company and joined Emirates, was working in Dubai at that time, reports said.

Shivroop had sent the mail from a fake id to the Emirates after which Geetika´s job was terminated.

The mail was reportedly first sent from MDLR employee Aruna Chaddha´s mail id to Shivroop.

A Delhi court on Tuesday rejected Delhi Police´s plea to get the two-day police custody of Aruna Chaddha.

Aruna, who was arrested on August 8, was sent to 14-day judicial custody on August 16.

Geetika´s family has alleged that Kanda was harassing her.

A Delhi court on August 18 remanded Kanda to seven-day police custody.
