Global crude oil price: Indian Basket declines

New Delhi, Feb 6 (IBNS) The international crude oil price for Indian Basket as computed/published on Wednesday by the Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas went down to US$ 112.63/barrel (bbl) on Feb 5.

This was lower than the price of US$ 113.16/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of Feb 4.

In rupee terms, however, the crude oil price of Indian Basket went up to Rs 6002.05/bbl on Feb 5 as compared to Rs 5994.09/bbl on Feb 4.

This was due to rupee depreciation as rupee dollar-exchange rate on Feb 5 at Rs 53.29/US$ against Rs 52.97/US$ on previous trading day of Feb 4.
