Panaji, Oct 30 (IBNS) The Congress in Goa on Tuesday urged the Centre to give Goa representation in the ministerial cabinet.

During a daylong convention organized by the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee, senior leaders said that its two MPs representing Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, respectively are competent to be inducted in the central cabinet.

There were high hopes that either Lok Sabha MP Francisco Sardinha or Rajya Sabha MP Shantaram Naik would be considered for the ministerial post in the last weekend's cabinet reshuffle.

The convention, which was attended by only a couple of party leaders, was organised to showcase its strength while also start membership drive.
