Panaji, Oct 16 (IBNS) In an attempt to ease financial burden to local households, at least partially, the Goa government has decided to subsidize three more LPG cylinders in addition to six subsidized gas cylinders by the Central government.
"The government will ensure that each family is given nine subsidized gas cylinders annually," BJP's State President Laxmikant Parsekar told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday.
He said government is contemplating to reimburse the additional money paid by consumers on the three extra cylinders while also adding that the 'exact way of giving subsidy is yet to be decided'.
The government is in talks with all stakeholders including gas agencies in the state.
