Panaji, Oct 5 (IBNS) Former Goa tourism minister Francisco Xavier Pacheco aka Mickky, sentenced to six months' imprisonment for assault on a government servant, has been admitted to a government hospital at Bambolim, after he complained of uneasiness.
Mickky complained of uneasiness hours after Additional Sessions Court upheld conviction and sentenced him to six months jail for assaulting Kapil Natekar, junior engineer of the State electricity department.
Sources said doctors have kept him under medical observation at the hospital and necessary medical tests are being conducted.
His condition is stable, sources said further.
The politician was re-arrested and lodged in Sada sub jail after the Court verdict.
Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Margao, on April 27 sentenced Mickky to one-year simple imprisonment, which the NCP legislator challenged in the higher Court.
The Additional Sessions Court Wednesday upheld the conviction but reduced the sentence period to six months.
