Panaji, Mar 7 (IBNS) After severe media criticism on the narcotics use in the Sada sub jail in Goa and shifting the undertrial-cum-whistleblower to Central Aguada Jail, the Prisons officials have termed the sting as "bluff".

Gaurish Shankhwalkar, Superintendent of Sada sub jail, told reporters that preliminary inquiry did not reveal anything wrong in the jail except that cigarette packets and tobacco products were found.

He said the inmate, who is being tried for rape charge, is mentally unstable and the scene ~ aired on a local TV channel ~ was created by him itself.

"The inmate was treated in the Institute of Psychiatric and Human Behaviour for two months. The drugs shown on the video is something else. He managed to get the mobile phone from somewhere which we are inquiring," he told reporters.

The sting video telecast by the news channel Wednesday had rattled the prisons department, for, it showed a man boasting of the availability of drugs in the jail premise. How the footage was leaked to the channel is being ascertained.
