Bhubaneswar: Two goods trains collided head-on in Orissa's Keonjhar district early Wednesday. An official said there could be some casualties.

The engines of the trains collided near Tigiriapalli village in the mineral-rich district, East Coast Railway chief public relation officer R.N. Mohapatra said.

A local television channel said one person has died and a few people injured in the accident. Mohapatra said no deaths have been confirmed so far but there could be some casualties.

It was a single line track and mostly used for the transportation of minerals, he said.
