Popular internet search engine Google on Saturday celebrated India's 64th Republic Day by decorating its India homepage with a colourful doodle that featured the country's national symbols like the tiger, the lotus and India Gate.
In the Google India homepage, netizens could see a Royal Bengal tiger standing in a jungle and it is surrounded by the country´s national flower- the lotus.
One could also see the India Gate in the background.
The Google logo is drawn on the tiger´s body as its stripes.
Amid a tight security and grand parade that displayed the mighty strength of Indian military, the country celebrated the 64th Republic Day on Saturday.
In India, Republic Day commemorates the date (Jan 26, 1950) on which the Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of the country.
