Each letter on the doodle is folded in origami fashion which involves innovative folding techniques on paper.
The butterfly design used in the doodle is the one that Yoshizawa has popularised. It is the symbol of the International Origami Friendship Society of Tokyo.
It was also said that Yoshizawa used this skill to teach basic geometry to the younger employees at his workplace.
In 1951, a Japanese magazine featured him display the 12 signs of the Japanese zodiac. This is where his skill became known world wide.
He has further popularised the art form by publishing more than a dozen books on it. He was honoured with Japan's Order of the Rising Sun in 1983 and has also served as a cultural ambassador of Japan.
