Panaji, Oct 6 (IBNS) The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on the Goa illegal mining, submitted to the state Legislative Assembly Speaker Pratapsing Rane on Wednesday, has substantiated some of its findings by relying on Google Earth Satellite Imagery.

The image of Mining firm operated by Congress leader Dinar Tarcar through Power of Attorney at Temebocheo Dongor in the survey number 69/51 was found while navigating around the Google's satellite images.

"The Google pictures of the year 2003 clearly show that the area was a virgin land and it is not possible to agree with any fallacious contention that several million tons of ore dump accumulated has be done on account of earlier dumps accumulation," PAC's report reads.

The PAC report has given details that Tarcar's mining lease extracted several million tones of iron ore whereas State Mines and Geology department allowed the mining lease to extract only 3 million tones annually.
