Adding more troubles to Gopal Kanda, the Delhi Police on Saturday charged the former Haryana minister along with MDLR manager Aruna Chadha with abetment of suicide after deceased MDLR air hostess Geetika Sharma's mother Anuradha Sharma blamed them for the family's ongoing tragedy in her two-page suicide note, reports said.
According to reports, the police registered a case and booked them under Section 306 (abetment of suicide).
Anuradha Sharma committed suicide at her residence here on Friday.
Geetika had committed suicide last year triggering a controversy over the role of Haryana politician Gopal Goyal Kanda.
The Delhi Police later arrested Kanda and Chaddha in connection with the case.
According to the police, Geetika´s mother, who was living in the Ashok Vihar area here, ended her life by hanging herself soon after she returned from work in the Ministry of Finance.
Incidentally, the family was allegedly under pressure to drop cases against Kanda.
Delhi police reportedly suspect the involvement of a third person as both Kanda and Chaddha are detained in jail and it is quite impossible for the duo to threaten Greetika´s family themselves.
Geetika was found dead on Aug 5 at her Ashok Vihar residence in North-West Delhi.
She had left MDLR Airlines and joined Emirates Airlines in Dubai but was forced to leave from there having been followed by the politician who allegedly forged letters to make it impossible for her to work there.
She later quit the second job to study MBA but it was alleged that she was under pressure from the politician to work for him.
