Nottingham, Aug 3 (IBNS) Struggling Indian cricket team's injury woes increased on Tuesday with off-spinner Harbhajan Singh being ruled out of the third Test against England due to an abdominal strain while left-handed batsman Yuvraj Singh underwent a scan on his left hand as well.

Harbhajan, who is struggling with form, picked up the injury during the second Test at Trent Bridge which India lost by a massive 319 runs on Monday. He is likely to be replaced with Amit Mishra if India doesn´t decide to go with a all pace attack.

"Harbhajan has a grade one lower abdominal tear and is expected to be out of action for 10-12 days," ESPN Cricinfo reported.

Yuvraj, who was hit on the left hand by quick Tim Bresnan on Monday, had a scan on the injured hand.

"The forefinger is swollen and Yuvi can't even lift it... It's just not encouraging," a team official said.

Zaheer Khan is recovering from a right hamstring strain.

But the good news was the Virender Sehwag landed in London on Wednesday morning and headed straight head to Northampton for the two-day match there against Northants, beginning Friday.

Opener Gautam Gambhir, who picked up an elbow injury during the opening Test, is also set to return for the Edgbaston Test.

Sehwag missed the first two Tests and the West Indies series to recuperate from a shoulder surgery.

The third Test in Birmingham, starts on August 10.
