A Mumbai court will today decide on the plea of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) seeking the remand of Pune-based stud farm owner Hasan Ali Khan on money laundering charges.
The Principal Sessions Court had on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the ED's request for Khan's custody by a day and had pulled up the probe agency for shoddy investigations into the case.
"You have not been able to make any case and you want me to hear you. If you want to do some homework, you can take time," said Principal Sessions Court Judge M L Tahaliyani.
Earlier, Khan, who was admitted to Mumbai's JJ Hospital after he complained of "chest pain", said he is a victim of a political conspiracy.
Khan was arrested on Monday night by the Enforcement Directorate in Mumbai under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
He has been summoned by the ED to appear in person for investigations under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act on March 10.
The Income Tax Tribunal had on March 4 issued a showcause notice to Hasan Ali Khan. (ANI)
