New Delhi, Jan 7 (IBNS) Part of a leading global conference series, Health 2.0 India is all set to conduct its 1st ever annual health conference in New Delhi, India on 30th January.

"The conference was intentionally curated to be a platform that would connect the dots between healthcare, policy, social innovation, human centered design thinking & technology," said an official spokesperson.

Some of the world's most recognized and respected organizations like Acumen Fund, Azul7, Frog Design, IDEO, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), MIT Media Labs, ProjectHER, TeachAIDS and the World Health Organization will share the platform.

"We're going to explore how innovators in emerging markets are impacting how healthcare is delivered to the masses. We will contrast and contextualize the best of Indian web and mobile technologies for healthcare and how others can learn and build on their successes," said Matthew Holt, co-chairman of Health 2.0.

Health 2.0 India said it will focus on how companies like Ayurvaid, HealthCursor Consulting, Telemedicine Society of India and UnitedHealth Care India are engaging the specific opportunities of the Indian market in content & search, physician and provider networks, patient communities, clinical trials, wellness & behavior change tools, medical tourism, mobile devices and smart phones.

"Health 2.0 technologies intersecting with ancient culture, where modern medicine and technology collide with the Ayurvedic mindset; where mobile health connects the poor, and health tools strengthen social development initiatives, these are all themes which will resonate during the conference," said Indu Subaiya, co-chairman and CEO of Health 2.0.

The Indian healthcare sector is on a fast growth track. Many of the innovative companies supporting this growth like Abzooba, Health Hiway, Medgle, Mdhil, MphRx, Purple Teal and SmartCloud will be demonstrating their live software on stage at Health 2.0 India.

"Health 2.0 has inspired people from venues beyond healthcare to tackle some of the biggest healthcare issues," said Pascal Lardier, international director at Health 2.0.

"This event will convene all the leaders and stakeholders in web 2.0 technology for health in India: ITC solution providers, health professionals, patient organizations, health policy officials, public and private health care organizations, medical devices and pharmaceutical companies, telecom groups, investors..."

Health 2.0 will also launch Code-A-Thon, a very popular event in the United States where developers, designers, healthcare providers, patients and researchers will begin collaborating on new and exciting applications to improve health and wellness in India.

The Code-A-Thon is about making connections with like-minded people and gaining inspiration to make tangible change. Prizes worth Rs. 100,000 will be awarded to winning teams.
