Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills has denied she had never disclosed her private voice mail messages to former Daily Mirror editor Piers Morgan.
At the Leveson Inquiry into press standards, it was revealed that Mills might have leaked her own private voice mail messages from Sir Paul to Morgan.
Mills, however, said in a statement that Morgan was using her as a "scapegoat".
"For the avoidance of doubt, I can categorically state that I have never ever played Piers Morgan a tape of any kind, never mind a voice message from my ex-husband," The Telegraph quoted Mills, as saying.
"Piers Morgan is doing all he can to deter the Leveson inquiry from finishing their important job," she said.
"Morgan is using me as his scapegoat and I would be more than happy to answer any questions that the inquiry would like to put to me," she added.
Morgan was questioned yesterday about an article he wrote in 2006 detailing a "heartbreaking" message left by the former Beatle member for his then wife.
He admitted to listening to the voice mail message, but denied his behaviour was 'unethical'.
Morgan, however, refused to reveal who had played him the recording on Mills' phone or where he was when he heard it. (ANI)
