Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Friday said all of the accused in the Hisar gang rape case would be apprehended soon, and that they would be severely punished.
Hooda said that criminals do not belong to any caste, and added that the absconding criminals would be arrested at the earliest.
"Criminal has no caste. Every criminal is to be punished; whoever commits crime is a criminal. Our stand is very clear and police is supposed to take action and police is taking action and law will take its own course. Nobody would be spared," he said.
A Hisar court had earlier on Thursday remanded five accused in the gang rape of a 16-year-old dalit girl in police custody for eight days.
The cops demanded 14-day remand, but the court granted them eight days to recover the mobile phones, motorcycles, clothes and other evidence in the case.
The girl was gang raped by eight upper caste youths near Dabra village in Hisar district on September 9. Four others had made an MMS clip of the act and clicked photographs of the girl in the nude. (ANI)
