Key convict in a 2006 hit-and-run case, Alistair Pereira, surrendered before Mumbai's Sewri court on Monday.
Earlier on Thursday, the Supreme Court cancelled Pereira´s bail in the case.
The apex court upheld the three-year term that was awarded to Pareira by the Bombay High Court.
He has served only one month of his sentence so far.
Pereira will need to serve the entire three-year jail term.
In 2006, the Mumbai-based businessman lost control of his car and ran over some construction workers who were sleeping by the roadside, killing seven of them.
He was drunk while driving.
