Hoax bomb threat to Kumbakonam school

Kumbakonam: An anonymous bomb threat to a school in Kumbakonam in Tamil Nadu turned out be a hoax after a search by police on Wednesday.

Police said the Town Higher Secondary School received a phone call this afternoon stating that a bomb had been planted on the school premises and it would go off anytime.
On being informed by the school authorities, police, led by inspector Kannan, carried out a thorough search but no explosives was found.
Police are inquiring to trace the caller.
