IIM Calcutta features in Limca Book of Records

The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta on Thursday said the Limca Book of Records has recognized the 50 hour marathon conducted by the students of premier institution during the golden jubilee Celebrations as a National Record.

"As part of various activities undertaken during the two-year long golden jubilee celebration, the students of the 47/17th and 48/18th PGP batches organized a 50 hour marathon of IIM Calcutta´s very own, footer," the institute said in a release.

From 10:00 PM of Aug 12, 2011 to 12:00 midnight of Aug 14, 2011, students engaged themselves in over 150 games of footer over the 50 hour period.

More than 200 students participated in the marathon which was conducted inside the campus premises.

Recognizing this event, the Limca Book of Records has adjudged the 50-hour Footer Marathon as a National Record 2013.
