Virender Sehwag contributed vital runs with his 117 runs off 117 balls, hitting 15 fours and 1 sixer. He was bowled out by Graeme Swann.
Off-spinner Swann stunned everyone with his outstanding performance taking four wickets giving 85 runs accompanied by 5 maiden overs.
Cheteshwar Pujara added 98 runs remaining not out as the India closed at 323-4.
