India - Incredible and Indomitabl

As I pass through the many states, as I try and speak to as many people as I can in the various languages and dialects, I wonder what is the one thing that makes this country. I wonder how I can comprehend (if ever I can) the enromity of the complex reality.
 
India as they say is "a land of contradictions". A diverse country with 18 officially recognized official languages, a birth place of four religions, a place where HIndus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Jews live together. A country which has a has an addition of 200 billion dollars into its coffeers yet has 250 million people living below the poverty line. A country which manufactures software for american giants yet has one third of its population illiterate. Statistics are important, but experience is more important to me than mere numbers and 'facts'.

India as I can see it, as I can experience it is energetic, vibrant, comples and almost incomprehensible. As I cycle along, I see, and experience the diversity and the complexity it reflects in its everyday life. And this reality makes me feel excited, energized, inspired and disappointed. I have a lot to say - I wil elaborate all my experiences in my book, but one thing I can be sure about is that the spirit of India is Indomitable. India is Incredible - Indeed.
