India-Pak series schedule announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Thursday announced the schedule of the upcoming limited over series between India and Pakistan in December.

"India will host Pakistan in the AIRTEL Series, featuring Two T20 Internationals and three ODIs, in December 2012 - January 2013," BCCI secretary Sanjay Jagdale said in a statement.

Pakistan will tour India for three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 matches.

India´s Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday gave the green light for Pakistan´s tour for a short ODI series in December-January.

Rajeev Shukla, vice-president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman, met Union Home Secretary R.K.Singh and discussed the tour.

"All aspects of the tour were discussed and the tour is on," said Shulka.

The series will be the first bilateral series between the two countries since the Mumbai terror attacks in November 2008.

The last time the two teams met for bilateral series was when Pakistan toured India in 2007.

The itinerary is as follows:

22/12/2012 - Arrival in Bengaluru

25/12/2012 - 1st T20 International at Bengaluru

27/12/2012 - 2nd T20 International at Ahmedabad

30/12/2012 - 1st One Day International at Chennai

3/1/2013 - 2nd One Day International at Kolkata

6/1/2013 - 3rd One Day International at Delhi

7/1/2013 - Team departs
