New Delhi, Dec 6 (IANS) Meeting a parliamentary delegation from Pakistan, Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar Thursday expressed hope that both countries would together send out a strong message against terrorism.
"The two sides should send a strong message that we do not spare those who spread terror or disturb peace in the region," an official statement from Lok Sabha Secretariat quoted her as saying.
Reciprocating her sentiment, Pakistan's Senate Chairman Syed Nayyer Hussain Bokhari pointed out that peace in the region could be achieved through sustained dialogue and consultation, and people-to-people contact.
The speaker also expressed satisfaction over the positive developments, including many high level visits in recent years giving a new momentum to bilateral relations. She also said people in the two nations had a strong urge to normalize the relations.
