At the hardware level, the iPod is a very small hard-drive, that allows
one to download MP3s, and play them back at will. It has an extremely easy to understand interface - with a jog wheel and a push button to select songs or play-lists. It interfaces to the computer using a very simple ultra-high speed connector called firewire which transfers information in a matter of a few seconds. |
