US$4.1 billion, 81-year-old Robert Kuok of Malaysia has clinched the
top spot. His sprawling business empire in Asia includes the South
China Morning Post, the Shangri-La hotel chain and Kerry Properties.
He is the largest shareholder in Malaysian air cargo company Transmile
Group. His success story begins in the '50s when he started trading
rice and sugar. He is planning a big rollout of his food business
