Institute for Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) allots 28,000 candidates for Probationary Officer job

Institute for Banking Personal Selection (IBPS) has allotted 28,118 candidates for the posts of Probationary Officer . This is good news for the aspirants since the validity of their scores would have expired next month. If they had not been allotted, they would have had to write the exam again for getting the bank job.

The detailed split-up of the number of candidates who were allotted the post according to their categories is given below:

  • Unreserved posts - 13,442
  • Scheduled castes - 4,415
  • Scheduled tribes - 2,135
  • Other Backward Communities - 7,608

A total of 7.5 lakh candidates appeared for the written test and out of these only 61,339 qualified for the interview. Around 45000 were successful in the interview and declared eligible for allotment based on the requirements in the participating banks.  Finally, a total of 28,118 candidates were allotted jobs.

The results of PO-III interviews are expected to be announced soon.
