Inter-State Council reconstituted under chairmanship of Manmohan Singh

The Inter-State Council has been reconstituted under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.

The Inter-State Council will have Chief Minister of all States, Chief Ministers of Union Territories having a Legislative Assembly and Administration of Union Territories not having Legislative Assembly.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Processing Industries Sharad Pawar, Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Dr. M. Veerappa Moily, Urban Development Minister Kamal Nath and Railways Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal will be the members of the Inter-State Council.

Minister of Health and Family Welfare Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister of Science and Technology S. Jaipal Reddy, Minister of Road Transport and Highways C.P. Joshi, Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers M.K. Alagiri and Minister of Law and Justice Ashwani Kumar are the permanent invitees for the Inter-State Council. (ANI)
