Intex launches new slim smartphone

New Delhi, Feb 7 (IBNS) Intex Technologies, one of the fastest growing mobile phones, IT accessories and electronic products company, on Thursday nationally announced the launch of its 8th model of smartphone - AQUA Wonder that runs on the latest android OS, Jelly Bean Version 4.1.

Pricing the product at Rs 9990, the company is aiming to penetrate and create a mass of tech lovers not only in semi-urban towns but urban cities as well.

With 8.9 mm sleek design, AQUA Wonder has 1GHz dual core processor and 512MB RAM.



The phone is as light as 125 gm and its compact size gives an easy grip to users.

Adding to the customer delight, the product has been bundled with 4GB micro SD card, phone pouch and screen guard at no additional cost.

Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar, General Manager - Mobile Business, Intex Technologies, said, "Our objective is to reach out to every market in the country and enhance the quality of lives of people by offering innovative gadgets.

"Understanding the current need, we entered into the smartphones category last year and so far have launched 8 models. At the same time, our price range is so dynamic that consumers will have not to burn their pockets to buy new gadgets."

Smartphones as a category at Intex has been growing consistently contributing to 25% in the overall mobile business. North and West remain the strongest markets followed by South and East.

The company through further technological advancements and a slew of upcoming launches is expecting to double the revenue in next five months.

Consumers will have 10 models to choose from Intex Smartphones category by March.
