IPL 6: Daredevils beat KKR by 7 wickets

Opener David Warner hammered an unbeaten 66 runs that helped Delhi Daredevils defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by seven wickets in the 44th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium here on Wednesday.

Chasing KKR´s 136 for seven, Delhi reached 137 runs by losing only three wickets in 17.5 overs.

Warner hit six boundaries and three sixes in his 42-ball knock.

Unmukt Chand added 37 runs with his willow.

Warner and Chand added 95 runs in the third wicket partnership.

Jacques Kallis, Brett Lee and L Balaji picked up one wicket each for KKR.

Earlier, Delhi bowlers bowled well and they were complemented by brilliant fielding as the visitor´s were restricted to 136 for seven.

KKR openers Gautam Gambhir (0), Manvinder Bisla (4) failed to deliver on Wednesday.

KKR was successful in posting a respectable total on the scoreboard with the help of Rajat Bhatia (26*) and

Sumit Narwal (23) as they added 30 runs in the seventh wicket partnership.

Brett Lee slammed 16 runs off 6 balls. He hit two sixes in his crucial knock to help KKR post 136 on the board.

Umesh Yadav picked up two wickets for Delhi.

Irfan Pathan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Ashish Nehra and Morne Morkel took one wicket each.
