IPL 6: Mumbai Indians beat KKR

Mumbai Indians defeated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 65 runs in the 53rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Wankhede Stadium here on Tuesday.

Chasing 171 for victory, KKR were all out for 105 runs in 18.2 overs.

Skipper Gautam Gambhir failed to deliver with the willow and got out without scoring a run.

Manvinder Bisla (17), Yusuf Pathan (13) and Eoin Morgan (5) failed to contribute with the bats.

Jacques Kallis top scored for KKR with his 24.

Harbhajan Singh scalped three wickets for Mumbai.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians scored 170 runs for six in 20 overs.

Sachin Tendulkar remained the top scorer for the host with his 48 off 28 balls. He hit eight boundaries in his innings.

Sachin and Dwayne Smith (47) gave Mumbai a good start and scored 93 runs in the first wicket partnership.

Dinesh Karthik played a quick-fire 34 off 18 balls that was laced with three boundaries and two sixes.

Ryan McLaren picked up two wickets for KKR.
