Shane Watson hammered a 34-ball 70 that helped Rajasthan Royals beat MS Dhoni's Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by five wickets in the 61st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium here on Sunday.
Chasing CSK´s 141 for four, Rajasthan reached 144 runs by losing only five wickets in 17.1 overs.
Rajasthan got off to a poor start and lost three wickets with 19 runs on the scoreboard in 4.4 overs.
Things looked more difficult for the homeside as it lost the wicket of Rahul Dravid (22) in the tenth over of the innings.
Rajasthan stood at 45 for 4 at that juncture of the match.
Shane Watson hammered 70 runs off 34 balls that helped Rajasthan bounce back in the game.
Watson and Stuart Binny (41*) added 93 runs int he fifth wicket partnership that helped Rajasthan easily reached the target with 17 balls to spare.
Watson´s innings was laced with six boundaries and equal number of sixes.
Jason Holder picked up two wickets for CSK.
Earlier, CSK scored 141 for four in 20 overs.
Murali Vijay remaiend the top scorer for CSK with his 55 off 50 balls.
Kevon Cooper took two wickets for Rajasthan.
