Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) via the Super Over in the seventh match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium here on Sunday.
Chasing 131 for victory, Hyderabad could manage to score only 130 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 20 overs.
In the super over, Hyderabad restricted RCB to 15 runs after posting 20 runs on the board.
Earlier, RCB scored 130 runs for the loss of eight wickets.
Skipper Virat Kohli top scored the RCB innings with 46 runs off 44 balls.
He hit five boundaries and a six in the innings.
Moises Henriques scored 44 runs off 40 balls.
Hyderabad, in reply were restricted to 130 for seven.
Hanuma Vihari remained the highest scorer for Hyderabad as he scored 44 off 46 and remained unbeaten till the end.
Jaydev Unadkat and Moises Henriques picked up two wickets each while Vinay Kumar and Muttiah Muralitharan scalped one each.
In the other match of the day, Kings XI Punjab defeated Pune Warriors by eight wickets.
Chasing 100 for victory, Punjab reached the target by losing only two wickets in 12.2 overs.
Earlier, Pune managed to score 99 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs.
