Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to her and Prince William's first child, a boy, and everyone -- from her father-in-law Price Charles to others -- expressed happiness at the birth of the child, who will be third in line to the British throne.
Ever since the child came into the world Monday 4.24 p.m., best wishes from royals to politicians to actors have been pouring in.
According to a spokesperson of the royals, the 31-year-old new mother and baby are doing fine. The baby, born in the Lindo Wing at St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington here, weighed 3.8 kg.
His father, Prince William, was born here in 1982, as well as his uncle Prince Harry.
Prince William, 31, released a statement saying that he and his wife, whom he married at Westminster Abbey
in April 2011, could not be happier following the birth of their son.
