Giving details of the incident, Superintendent of Police, Awantipora, Irshad Ahmed told IBNS that during the wee hours of Friday Awantipora police received a specific information regarding movement of one Hizbul Mujahideen conduit in the general area of Shekargh and Pinglish area.
"Acting on tip-off, police station Tral and 42-RR established multiple nakas at Pinglish and Rathsoona area. One person was found in suspicious circumstances at Pinglish crossing. When he was searched one live Chinese grenade, Rs. ninety thousand hawala money and one letter pad of HM outfit was recovered from his possession," Irshad said.
The militant has been identified as Mudasir Ahmad Dar, a resident of Frisal,Kulgam.
The police have registered a case against the youth.
