The police on Wednesday said suspected Maoists blew up an empty make-shift house at Jamtara district in Jharkhand.
The rebels also torched an earthmover and three tractors on the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
According to reports, workers, who are engaged in construction of a road and bridge, used to stay in the make-shift house.
The Moaists destroyed the make-shift house with explosives and thrashed the workers.
"The rebels have damaged equipments and even thrashed the workers at the construction site," Inspector General of Police (Dumka Zone) Arun Oraon told The Times of India.
