Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa on Saturday slammed the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government and called it 'fascist' and 'anti-democratic' for allegedly not giving any sort of financial aid to the state.

In a meeting of the National Development Council (NDC) on Saturday morning, Jayalalithaa´s representative read out a letter by the Chief Minister in which she said that the central government does not give proper treatment to those states where Congress is not in power.

Earlier this week, Jayalalithaa made her much-awaited court appearance in a Bangalore trial court related to the Rs 66 crore disproportionate assets case.

The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) leader made her way back to Chennai on Friday.

Jayalalithaa had to appear before the court on both Thursday and Friday as she answered 379 questions on the first day of the court appearance, media reports said.
