
Srinagar: In a bid to strengthen cultural ties across the Line of Control, a literary body on Tuesday appointed a member each from Pakistan and PoK on its advisory board.
"In an initiative to strengthen cross-LoC cultural and literary ties, two prominent literary personalities of Muzaffarabad and Lahore have been nominated for the advisory board of Adbee Markaz Kamraz," a statement issued by AMK said.
Nusrat Nissar, Head of Kashmiri department in University of Lahore, and Syed Altaf Andrabi, noted poet and writer of Muzaffarabad will be part of the 15-member board, it said.
The advisory board of the AMK is constituted every three years to guide the organisation in its endeavour to promote and preserve Kashmiri language.
"The inclusion of two prominent Kashmiri literary personalities in AMK Advisory Board from Lahore and Muzaffarabad will not only help in further promoting Kashmiri language and literature but also strengthen cultural and literary ties across the LoC," AMK General Secretary Shujaat Bukhari said.
