Chennai: Kamal Haasan is scheduled to meet protesters here on Saturday in an effort to end the ban on his film 'Vishwaroopam' in Tamil Nadu, said reports.
The Hindi version of the film, Vishwaroop, has been released across the country.
On Friday, Kamal's brother Chandra met government officials and members of those groups protesting against the movie. However, the protesters demanded Kamal's presence during the talks.
Kamal was in Mumbai for the release of the Hindi version of the film. He is expected to return to Chennai on Saturday.
CNN IBN quoted some people who saw Viswaroop and found nothing objectionable in it.
"(The film is) not anti-Muslim or anti-India in any manner," said a young film buff.
