Former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev has inaugurated the Winner Bowling Machine 2.0, a digitized two wheel bowling machine with polyurethane seam grip wheels, at the Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy in Kolkata.
Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy, run by former national Sambaran Banerjee and restaurant chain owner Anjan Chatterjee, on Wednesday introduced the Winner Bowling Machine 2.0.
Speaking at the occasion, Dev said: "In Punjab, people might have the mind set to play cricket but they are lacking in passion for cricket. But here in Bengal, I am totally surprised to experience the passion and dream for learning cricket among the young generation."
He said, "In the near future I want to see another Sourav Ganguly from these innocent faces and for which I believe this academy would be very much helpful to bring out the exact talent for Bengal or Indian team. You just need to keep alive the passion within yourselves."
Sambaran Banerjee said, "At Mainland Sambaran Cricket Academy, our quest lies into coaching these talents in every sector related to the game and to make them industry-ready".
