Another chit fund scam?:

Former BJP MP Mr Vijaya Sankeshwar, who has now joined KJP headed by Mr B S Yeddyurappa has come out with fresh corruption charges against former chief minister Mr D V Sadananda Gowda, saying that money used to change hands through chits.

Mr Sankeshwar, who convened a press conference in Hubli displayed a piece of chit, on which it was written: 'as per our discussion, please hand over Rs five crore to party president Mr K S Eshwarappa.'

Mr Sankeshwar said that this should be the money through kickbacks and such transactions used to take place when Mr Gowda was chief minister. Now, Mr Gowda was boasting that all the corrupt people had quit the party.

Look out! Black magic at work!: 

Former minister Mr D K Shivakumar has alleged that his rival candidate Mr PGR Sindhia had resorted to black magic, to defeat him in the forthcoming elections.

On Friday, participating in meet the press program organized by Bangalore Reporters' Guild and Press Club of Bangalore, Mr Shivakumar said that Ms Sindhia had performed black magic nine times, including two in Tamil Nadu.

Both Mr Sindhia and Mr Shivakumar have been winning from Kanakpura and neighboring Sathanur constituency since 1983. During delimitation, Sathanur constituency was merged with Kanakpura and Mr Sindhia did not contest elections in 2008. Now, for the first time, the two leaders are contesting against each other.

Mr Shivakumar said that Mr Sindhia had performed a dangerous pooja called 'Shathru Samhara', aimed at eliminating him.
"Anyway, it will be a fight between truth and lies, as Mr Sindhia has been telling lies to people of Kanakpura," he concluded.
