Karnataka govt promotes, transfers top police officers

Bangalore: The Karnataka government on Monday promoted and transferred top police officers and said it would come into immediate affect.

An official press releas said H N Sathyanarayana Rao, Inspector General of Police (IGP), Eastern Range, Davanagere has been promoted and posted as Additional Director General (ADGP) of Police, Crime & Technical Services, Bangalore in the existing vacancy.

Ashit Mohan Prasad, IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bangalore has been promoted and posted as ADGP, Communication, Logistic and Modernisation, Bangalore in the existing vacancy.

Amar Kumar Pandey, IGP Police & Director, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysore has been transferred and posted as IGP, Southern Range, Mysore in place of A S N Murthy.

Murthy, IGP Southern Range, Mysore was posted as IGP and Director, Karnataka Police Academy, Mysore in place of Amar Kumar Pandey, who was transferred.

Dr M A Saleem,DIG,Head Quarters-I,Bangalore was promoted and posted as IGP,Administration,Bangalore in the existing vacancy

K S R Charan Reddy, DIG CID, Bangalore was promoted and posted as IGP, Eastern Range, Davanagere,in place of Sathyanarayana Rao.

K Ramachandra Rao, DIG & Commissioner of Police, Hubli- Dharwad City, Hublis promoted and continued in the same post.

Malini Krishnamoorthy,DIG CID(Economic Offences),Bangalore, was promoted and posted as IGP, Home Guards & Civic Defence, Bangalore,in the existing vacancy.

K L Sudheer,DIG Security, Bangalore was promoted and posted as IGP, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bangalore, in place of A M Prasad, the release said.

Sudheer was also placed in additional charge of the post of IGP, Bangalore Metropolitan Task Force.

N Shashi Kumar, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP) Kunigal Sub-Division, Tumkur District was transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police (SP), Raichur District, Raichur, in place of T.R.Suresh transferred. MORE
