Kathmandu Police bust fake currency racket worth Rs.23 lakh, arrest 2 Pakistanis

Police busted a fake Indian currency racket and arrested three people, including two Pakistani nationals, here on Tuesday.

Fake currency worth Rs.23 lakh was seized from their possession.

Chief of Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Jaya Bahadur Chand said the currency was being trafficked to India through land route.

The Pakistani nationals were identified as Mohamad Minulla and Sohail Mohamad, while the third, a native of Bara district in southern Nepal, was identified as Basir Miya.

A special team of Nepal Police arrested the three men from a hotel in New Road in the heart of the city. (ANI)
