Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif has written an open letter to the press expressing her annoyance for capturing and revealing pictures of herself and her "lover" Ranbir Kapoor holidaying in Spain.
Katrina and Ranbir, who have long been rumoured to be in a romantic relationship, were captured on camera by a film magazine on the Spanish island of Ibiza last month and the snaps were splashed across the Indian media.
In a letter published in the newspaper The Times Of India, Katrina said, "The pictures were taken while I was on holiday by someone who, in an act of cowardice, has shot without permission and then used the pictures for commercial gain."
"There is a breed of journalism that preys on celebrities in the worst possible manner crossing all lines of privacy and decency. Running these pictures shows support for this school of journalism," the letter said.
Asking the media to restrain from such acts, she said, "I have a wonderful relationship with the media and have been accessible to the media at all times. There is no reason for this furtive and invasive behaviour."
Film magazine Stardust has recently captured private moments of Katrina and Ranbir holidaying in Ibiza, Spain. The snaps were then run across all national media and grabbed the attention of one and all.
