Baksha B.N. Vidyalaya won the Kolkata zonal league match of the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars, here on Tuesday.
The 5th season of the all India 'Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars' was held in Kolkata on Tuesday as more than 60 schools and over 600 children participated in the tournament.
Baksha B.N. Vidyalaya School won the Kolkata zonal league match by defeating Aharampur Sahara Boys School.
The winning team will go on to compete in the national championship in Shillong with 14 other teams from different locations across the country.
The under-15 soccer talent hunt in India is an initiative by Tata Tea in partnership with leading football club FC Internazionale Milano (Inter Milan).
The trophy to the winning team was handed over by former Mohun Bagan player Shyamal Banerjee.
With participation from over 2500 students and over 240 schools from 6 cities so far, the Tata Tea Jaago Re Inter Milan Soccer Stars' initiative will cover 9 more cities in India.
