
Pan-Asian fine dining restaurant The Wall is all set bring the exotic flavours of Japan to Kolkata with a Japanese Food Festival.
"We have introduced several new items in this festival," said Chef Sushanta Sengupta.
Japanese Food Festival will feature special dishes like sushi, sashimi, udon, yakitori and much more.
"The Sushi remains the most popular Japanese food, there's much more to explore in this Far Eastern cuisine," said chef Kamal Saha, who has also been the chef at the Japanese Consulate.
Japan provides the opportunity to enjoy a specially crafted a la carte menu with items like Spicy Salmon Sushi, Battleship Sushi, California Maki with Salmon Roe, Prawn Tempura Maki, Hilsa Sushi, Fukusa Zushi in the food festival.
The Wall said it aims to make Kolkata familiar to the most authentic Japanese cuisines.
Japanese cuisine is known for its emphasis on seasonality of food, quality of ingredients and presentation.
