Langsning beat KGF 1-0

Riding on a solitary goal for Yinka Joel Sunday, Meghalaya's Langsning FC beat Bangalore's KGF Academy in the 2nd division I League match played at the Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi on Friday.

Sunday scored the only goal of the match in 22nd minute.

The evenly contested match saw KGF losing the match, inspite of being a better side and it was mainly due to their inability of convert the chances upfront, and they are themselves to blame for the slip-up.

Within the opening 20 minutes, they muffed at least two clear chances to take the lead. Langsning capitalized on the situation and took the lead in the 22nd minute.

Yinka Joel Sunday took the advantage of KGF defenders mistake, when they lost the ball to him near half-line. He took the full advantage and dribbled past the KGF defence line and easily found the back of the net to give his side the much wanted lead.

Changing over, same story seems to be repeating once again. The Bangalore side even after having a better ball possession lacked the capability to convert the chances. This cost them dear and the match.

The score-line remained the same till the full time.

Langsning now have 10 points from 4 matches while KGF Academy are still without a point from 4 outings.

In an another 2nd Division I League match between Mumbai's PIFA Colaba and Delhi's Simla Young's ended in a 1-1 draw, at the Ambedkar Stadium, New Delhi, on Friday.

Both the goal were scored off spot, first it was Simla's Badru Keke Ibrahim in 5th minute, and then PIFA's Clifford Garrett in 17th minutes found the goal mouth for their respective teams.

Both the teams failed to break the deadlock till the end, hence splitting the points among each other.

Simla Youngs now have 5 points from 4 matches while PIFA have only two points from 4 outings.
