New Delhi, March 15 (IANS) The Lok Sabha was adjourned repeatedly Friday as opposition parties protested the alleged neglect of Hindi and regional languages in Union Public Service Commission examinations.

The lower house witnessed three adjournments.

When the house met at 11, Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned it for half hour as Samajwadi Party and RJD members walked towards her chair denouncing the alleged "insult" to Hindi.

Among those protesting was Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Lalu Prasad.

When the house re-convened, the number of protesters swelled with those from the DMK, Shiv Sena and Janata Dal-United joining the Samajwadi Party and RJD.

"Angrezi me kaam na hoga. Phir se desh ghulaam na hoga!" some of them shouted.

P.C. Chacko, who was in the chair, called for the Question Hour but the din continued, leading to yet another adjournment.
