A security guard first noticed the full-grown big cat in the basement of the school and informed to authorities, forest department officials and the police.

The forest department officials and the police were finally successful in putting the leopard into a cage on Sunday morning after a 20-hour operation.

The forest department officials took it to SGNP.where it will be kept under full medical observation for few days.

It will be later released in a forest with micro-chip fitted on it.

No report of injury or damage was reported in the incident as the school was closed for summer vacations.
